Autonomous Feedback Loop

Gum and pronto plate prints in single-stitch pamphlet and folded form
I was researching biofeedback as a psychological tool over the course of making these prints. This process involves instruments which monitor skin temperature, muscle activity, electrodermal activity, heart rate, blood pressure, brain blood flow, and more. Biofeedback is referred to as “training” (active) versus “treatment” (passive), and the term “patient” becomes “learner” in biofeedback and neurofeedback centers. The learner acquires voluntary control over their mind and body over time with practice.
